一 | Vishal Jethwa has expressed immense happiness and excitement as Homebound, produced by Dharma Productions (Dharma Movies), has now progressed one step closer for a possible nomination nod for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards. The shortlist is the final step where amongst all the films submitted for the Oscars for the category, 15 films advance to the voting stage. This inches Homebound closer to a possible nomination nod when the nominations are announced on January 22, 2026.
Sharing his heartfelt reaction, Vishal Jethwa said, "This moment feels surreal and incredibly humbling. To see Homebound being shortlisted and progressing towards the Oscars is something I could have only dreamed of. I am deeply grateful for the love and support the film has received from audiences around the world. I want to sincerely thank Karan Johar sir for believing in this story and in us as artistes. His vision and backing gave Homebound the wings it needed."Vishal also spoke about director Neeraj Ghaywan. He said, "Neeraj Ghaywan sir’s sensitivity, honesty and clarity as a filmmaker pushed me to explore emotional depths I had never touched before. Working under his direction has been nothing short of transformative. I also want to thank Ishaan Khatter, whose passion and commitment elevated every scene, we learned so much from each other on this journey. This recognition belongs to the entire team that poured their heart and soul into the film."
Other films that made it to the shortlist in the Best International Feature category include Argentina’s Belén, Brazil’s The Secret Agent, France’s It Was Just an Accident, Germany’s Sound of Falling, Iraq’s The President’s Cake, Japan’s Kokuho, Jordan’s All That’s Left of You, Norway’s Sentimental Value, Palestine’s Palestine 36, South Korea’s No Other Choice, Spain’s Sirât, Switzerland’s Late Shift, Taiwan’s Left-Handed Girl and Tunisia’s The Voice of Hind Rajab.Also Read: Karan Johar Thanks Shah Rukh Khan for His Heartfelt Praise for Homebound。 Kathmandu, Oct 9 (UNI) Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari has tested positive for Covid-19, a hospital official said on Sunday.
The president, who was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Saturday, tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test, said Dr Dinesh Kafle, executive director of the hospital.
"She was admitted to the hospital following a high fever, cough, headache and body ache," Kafle told local media . "On Sunday afternoon, she didn't have a fever but a dry cough. However, she is feeling better."
According to Kafle, the president may need medical attention for a few more days at the hospital. "As she has been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, we are hopeful that no serious complication will arise in her health."
The total confirmed active Covid-19 cases in Nepal stood at 570 by Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
